Executive Director to go on Learning Tour!

The executive director of our store, Karin Taylor, will  be traveling to India and Bangladesh for

three weeks to visit our artisan partners.

Update 1/31:

"Monday, three hours after arriving we met with an artisan group that makes the wheat straw cards and ornaments.  What amazing women.  We just returned form the countryside today where we went to five different villages, meeting five different artisan groups that make the jute plant hangers, hammocks, etc.  We were showered with flowers, songs, Bengali food and such appreciation. We are the ones who are appreciative.  Such kind, generous and beautiful people.  Hard to believe we have only been here a day and a half!"           -Karin Taylor

Ten Thousand Villages will be hosting open house events highlighting Karin's trip on March 9th

from 6-8p.m., March 11th from 10a.m.-12 p.m., March 14th from 10a.m. - 12p.m., and March 15th from 6-8p.m.  These programs will be open to the public but due to limited space RSVPs
